Let me start by saying i am not a bigot, but my conviction to support free speech leads me to the opinion that if Imus was fired because backers were pulling there ads that would be one thing ,but such was not the case. He was fired because this country is run by a bunch of wanna be do gooders, namely the media. If Imus stood on his laurels instead of apologizing i think he would have been ok but because he backed down he was chastised and lost his ass because of it. Your observations are very astute.this country has no limits to its foolishness!!!

i hope Don Imus sue's the hell out of MSNBC, they took away his livelihood because of satire (albiet bad taste), and what MANY folks say in song and rap, under freedom of speech.

I wish Imus would have called me a nappy flow. Would have been really good for business....best advertising you can buy. Media coverage 24/7....where do I sign up to be called something I am clearly not so I can act offended for media attention. How can I get on that list?????

Oh that's right, white males need not apply.....shit!

After all, they'd call me a baby if I cried foul over name-calling. Imus took a risk, as he had done many times before. He knew the social climate....the risk and reward, as did his advertisers. I don't feel sorry for anybody in this story...
